ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Sally-Ann Cook, I am 46 years old and a mother of two. Seventeen years ago my fitness levels were pretty low and didn't really eat a healthy diet. I rarely exercised I hadn't trained using weights before and I only walked when I had to . After the birth of my second child, having gained 2.5 stone, I made a decision not to hang on to my post-baby weight. I wanted to embrace a healthier lifestyle, to become fit and to lose weight. It was time for me to change!
I began exercising and eating healthily and committed myself to achieving the results I longed for. Because I was so determined I soon noticed a big difference. I totally changed my lifestyle and had already quit smoking the previous year, so with my new healthy eating plan and regular exercise I felt fantastic, fit and healthy! I began running and weight training. allthough using weights was always a fear for me, as like many women, I thought it would make me big and muscley., which was not what I wanted. However, I soon realised that this was not the case. There are specific ways to train to achieve different body goals, so training the way I was with weights, stripped the fat from my muscles giving me a toned appearance , whilst still looking feminine.
A lot of people find it hard to get motivated, and aren’t sure how or where to begin. I then decided that I wanted to help motivate and educate others to also achieve great results. I trained to become a Personal Trainer and am now rewarded by clients successfully reaching their goals with my help and guidance.
I have been a personal trainer for 19 years now. Not many people are lucky enough to say this, but I thoroughly love my job. Being able to help people not just to lose weight or inches, but it's all of the other things that come with it. Boosting somebody’s confidence, lifting people out of depression, lowering their blood pressure, improving their balance and co-ordination or even just being there to listen. These are all but a few.
In July 2010 I decided to set myself the goal of competing in a UKBFF Body Fitness competition. It took me 10 months of hard training, 5 months of which was on a strict diet. I’m very motivated, have extremely high amounts of willpower and determination and am very proud to say I placed 2nd in my first competition in May 2011. This was an amazing experience for me to see what the body is capable of. It was extreme and I learnt alot, but I much rather prefer having some curves and living a more relaxed lifestyle !
Whatever your goal may be, I can give you the tools you need to make it happen! All you need is to want it bad enough.
Location
I have a Personal Training Studio in Amblecote that is used exclusively by my clients. This provides the perfect environment to carry out our sessions outside of the stereotypical gym environment. My programmes are written so that you don't need to be a member of a gym. You can complete it all at home and get the same great results. It is easily accessible to West Midlands based clients coming from Stourbridge, Wordsley, Kingswinford, Dudley, Wollaston, Hagley, Pedmore, Cradley Heath, Lye, Kinver and the surrounding areas.
